As some of you know I am having a baby this fall… and let me tell you … I am FREAKING OUT! I am beyond excited to give birth and finally see what this journey is all about. I am in LOVE with my belly and all of the crazy changes that are happening in my body. BUT, I am also like, “What? I have to be a mom?”
“How is this all going to happen?” And…
“Do I really want to be a mom?!”
And I, like so many of you, want to make sure that I am doing all I can for myself and my baby to ensure the “best pregnancy ever”…(all said with a laugh and a sweet smile). The daily questions of, “what to eat, drink, take, not take, think, wear, say”… ugh, that list goes on and on. There is SO much pressure out there to do it “all” and to do it all “right.”
I’m guessing some of you out there feel that way, too? Overwhelmed by the “shoulds” and “shouldn’ts” of pregnancy and planning for birth? But it doesn’t have to be that way. We have the choice to turn off the outer stimulation, the voices of everyone else, and tune into the rich love and knowledge residing inside our own hearts.
