Kiss Good-Bye the Pressure of “Doing It All Right”

As some of you know I am having a baby this fall… and let me tell you … I am FREAKING OUT! I am beyond excited to give birth and finally see what this journey is all about. I am in LOVE with my belly and all of the crazy changes that are happening in my body. BUT, I am also like, “What? I have to be a mom?”

“How is this all going to happen?” And…

“Do I really want to be a mom?!”

SLphotoAnd I, like so many of you, want to make sure that I am doing all I can for myself and my baby to ensure the “best pregnancy ever”…(all said with a laugh and a sweet smile). Because I know, as well as you do, that the pregnancy and birthing wisdom we need is already within. We just have to figure out how to be quiet and listen. Continue reading

Empower Your Pregnancy — A Talk With Sarah This Thursday

EYP-top-page-graphic-MHBWe’re so excited to be part of the Empower Your Pregnancy online conference taking place this Jan. 17-18.

This free call-in seminar for expecting mamas features over a dozen pregnancy and birth “experts” who will share their wisdom of how to create a happy, healthy pregnancy and empowered birth.

Set a reminder on your phone to call in this Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m., when Blooma founder, prenatal yoga teacher and birth doula, Sarah Longacre, chats with Nichi Hirsch Kuechle of My Healthy Beginning about the benefits of prenatal yoga. Her talk is titled: Your Inner Goddess/ Bringing Her to Your Pregnancy through Prenatal Yoga. That’s a pretty perfect title if you know Sarah!

Registration for the call (and all the other amazing panelists, too) is FREE, but you’ll need to register in advance. (Registering is as simple as providing your first name and email address.) Then you’ll be e-mailed the phone number to call when it’s time, and a full schedule of speakers and topics for Jan. 17-18.

After you sign up, all you’ll need to do is chill on your couch with a cup of tea and listen in. It’ll be almost as if you’re having tea with a slew of birth experts right in your own living room!
