Yoga With Baby — and Extra Relaxation

Here’s a family that experienced one of the first Restorative BYOB classes recently. They left Blooma blissed out!

Sundays are for slowing down, renewing, and regenerating your calm so you feel ready for the week ahead.

That’s why you love Take It Easy Yoga on Sundays and now, Restorative Bring Your Own Baby (BYOB) Yoga!

Sarah Sarzoza teaches the new Restorative BYOB class in Edina, Sundays, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Here’s a little note from Sarah about the class:

We include a lot of the things that caregivers love about BYOB, with moving and strengthening, but I add an emphasis on infant massage and restorative poses at the end of class, with longer holds and lots of comfy props.

Restorative BYOB is the perfect way for mamas, dads, and caregivers to renew for the week. Sign up now and let us know what you think!

Peace, tranquility and relaxation… this Friday

There’s no better way to end a busy week than with Laura Leventhal’s Friday night, 7:15 p.m. Candlelight Take It Easy workshop at Blooma. Laura, who is filling in for Bridget Erickson while she’s on maternity leave,  tells us more below:

“Busy moms and dads take time to restore and renew with Take It Easy yoga this Friday night and every Sunday morning at Blooma. A blend of gentle flow and restorative yoga, Take It Easy classes focus on relaxation, renewal, effortlessness and ease.  This practice will soothe your nervous system, help quiet the mind and allow you to release deeply held tension.

Research has shown that the relaxation response is highly effective at relieving symptoms of stress, anxiety, and insomnia; positively effecting hypertension, mild-to-moderate forms of depression, and various forms of pain; promoting healthy digestion, fertility, and immunity; and facilitating relaxation and restful sleep.

When we move slowly and gently, the nervous system slows down, the mind quiets, muscles soften and breath deepens—our inner chemistry shifts towards a biological balance, which is experienced as peace, tranquility, relaxation and emerging bliss.

Offered Sunday mornings and the first Friday evening of each month, Take It Easy yoga will leave you feeling rested, rejuvenated, lighter, and calmer. You’ll feel recharged and more prepared for whatever life throws at you.”

Thanks, Laura! All levels are welcome.  Take It Easy is the perfect practice for beginners and a must for all yogis of all levels!! Sign up for the Friday night candelight workshop here (click on the workshops tab in the upper right) or for Sunday morning’s class.

And in case you’re still not convinced that Blooma is the place to be this Friday night, check out what two recent attendees have to say about it:

Laura Leventhal

I LOVE her class! I am a runner and cardio addict in addition to having a regular vinyasa practive. When Laura first told me about her class I thought, “I better check it out just to be a good friend.” Then I went and fell in love. It felt so good to really stretch my body and relax deeply. Laura has a calming way about her and I have found that restorative yoga is a great compliment to my other, more strenuous activities. —Krista

The Friday night Candelight Take It Easy class is the perfect way to end a hectic week. I left the class feeling both mentally and physically relaxed, peaceful and healthy. I’d recommend this class to anyone who needs and excuse to spend an evening taking care of themselves. Thank you Laura! —Heather

So then… see you Friday night?

Love,

Alisa, Sarah & the women of Blooma
