Look no further for reasons to indulge in a fabulous massage: recent research shows that massage does much more than simply making you feel good. It actually causes biological changes by decreasing cortisol (the stress hormone) and increases white blood cells important in defending your immune system. Read more about the study, published in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, in this New York Times story.
Blooma’s wellness room is a soothing oasis where we offer five types of massage, whether you’re pregnant or not. (Hint to your family members—order a Blooma gift certificate for the holidays!) Come treat yourself—your body will thank you for it.

This morning’s Turkey Flow vinyasa class, led by the amazing Jesse Bennett, was the perfect way to start the holiday feeling grounded, energized and full of gratitude!
If your holiday schedule didn’t allow you to practice at Blooma this morning, take a moment no matter where you are to find a small corner and sit with eyes closed (you can do it!).
Settle into your breath for 2, 3 or 5 minutes… whatever small amount of time you can spare today.
As you inhale, allow all the blessings of your life to wash over you. As Jesse suggested, take a moment to dedicate your next breath to someone who needs a little extra love this season (maybe that’s someone else, or maybe that’s you). Exhale any tension, any unwanted + unneeded stress. Inhale replenishment for yourself, feeling your heart expand and shine. Open your eyes, feel your shoulders melt, and rejoin the day, carrying peace and calm with you.
We invite you to enjoy Jesse’s fun, inspirational music play list from this morning, too. You still have time to put it together and play it during the day today. You’ll be infused with joy, gratitude, and feelings of blessings and thankfulness. Maybe you’ll shake your booty just a bit, too! Enjoy!
