Sarah Talks About Pregnancy Depression

Not everyone knows that pregnancy depression exists, but for some women, it’s a very real thing. See what Blooma founder Sarah Longacre has to say about it (and how yoga can help!) in an article posted this week on Disney’s BabyZone.com.

If pregnancy depression sounds like something you might suffer from, please also check out local resources through Pregnancy & Postpartum Support MN. We are gifted with so many wonderful counselors and resources in our community!

BELLYRAMA Outdoor Yoga – Save the Date!

Blooma’s 3rd annual Bellyrama yoga festival is coming up Saturday, Aug. 25, 9-11 a.m. As always, this FREE event will be held at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis, rain or shine, bring your own mat + water + sunscreen.

ALL mamas — whether prenatal or postnatal — families, sisters, friends, grandmothers and kiddos are welcome to attend this FREE, fabulous morning of sunny energy, live music, and inspirational yoga taught by Sarah Longacre (with a couple of surprise guests!).

Bellyrama yoga starts promptly at 9 a.m., followed by kid + family yoga at 10:30 a.m. by the Adventures of Super Stretch.

You’ll also have the opportunity to have your beautiful pregnant belly painted by Gail Tully of Spinning Babies. This is a favorite of mamas every year!

Mark your calendar now for Aug. 25 and bring the whole family! Though this event is free, we’d love it if you signed up online, too. Come kiss the sunshine with us!

Big Love!

What is Confidence? Sarah Longacre Answers…

“You were put on this earth to make a difference,” says Blooma founder, prenatal yoga teacher and doula, Sarah Longacre.

Recently Sarah had the opportunity to do a video for her friend Sarah McNally at TransForm Corporation. McNally does a video segment called “Brand Moments” and asked Sarah to share her thoughts on “What is Confidence.”

“Confidence is about taking the time to connect to your inner light … so you can shine it,” Sarah says.

Take a look at Sarah’s brief video and let us know what you think! How do you keep your own confidence shining? On your mat? And how do you instill confidence in your children?
