Love for Breastfeeding, From The Farm

While Sarah Longacre was visiting The Farm (of Ina May Gaskin fame) last week, she emailed back the below photo. It’s of a poem hanging at The Farm’s midwifery clinic called “Everything I Needed,” and it’s all about what the writer learned about breastfeeding. It’s beautiful!

Mamas, what have you learned from breastfeeding?

If you’re an expecting mother or couple, let this poem inspire you! Then sign up for one of Lisa Erbes’ breastfeeding classes, including one for mothers of multiples, at Blooma. Lisa’s classes are offered once-a-month, with her next one scheduled Feb. 24, 6-8:30 p.m.

Nursing Warrior Mama!

Dearest mamas, whether you feed your baby by breast or bottle, Blooma welcomes you! Revel in the sweetness of this time together — the gazing into each others’ eyes, the snuggling close. *Bliss*

This St. Paul Blooma mama + her baby, Lincoln, found their nursing mojo smack dab in the middle of Warrior 2 during my Bring Your Own Baby (BYOB) Yoga class this morning. (Yes, it was so adorable, we had to recreate the move after class just for the cute photo opp!)

We are so lucky at Blooma to bask in the presence of such sweetness. What’s the most interesting position you’ve fed your baby in, mamas?

Love,

Alisa
