Does Yoga Make You a Better Mom?

Oh, mamas, we KNOW how hard it is to make it to your mat. Between the early (and not-on-your-own-terms) wake-ups, the laundry piles, working, cooking, and the overall busy bee-ness of parenthood, carving out even five minutes of yoga time can feel wildly luxurious.

And guess what? Even five minutes — or even two minutes! — of mat time can help bring clarity, calm, breath and focus to your day. Ahhh.

For those times you do make it to your mat, how does yoga make you a better mom? That’s the question posed by MindBodyGreen.com to six “Rock Star Yogi Mamas” in a recent post sent my way from Blooma teacher Nan GaneCheck it out.

Then tell us: how does yoga impact your ability to parent? Do you have a favorite yoga class or a go-to pose that brings you back to center?

Love,

Alisa, Sarah & the women of Blooma

Yoga calms my soul and brings a big smile to my heart…which makes me a better mama. I absolutely love yoga and better yet…i love Blooma yoga. I would go everyday if I could, but work gets in the way…wuh wah. My favorite yoga class is B.Y.O.B. because I can move with my sweet Finn and interact with him. Showing him how to exercise and how fun exercise is at such a young age is so important :)
